Happy Belated Thanksgiving
I went to my mom's for Thanksgiving. The whole family was together and we ate well!!! I am thankful for my family, friends and all that I have. Every now and then I am reminded of how blessed I am. Sometimes I get down and feel that my life isn't turning out exactly how I imagined it would when I was younger and more idealistic. I would have never guessed that I would be 30 and single. I would have also never guessed that I would be given the opportunity and privledge of adopting a baby girl from China. Isn't it funny how things seem to work out just as they are meant to? As frustrating as waiting is, I am especially thankful this year that I am able to be as far along on this adoption journey as I am.

You are so right.... things don't always turn out the way we had envisioned... but then if they did.... our lives might be pretty boring.
I'll take the unexpected surprises! Makes the journey way more interesting... and most of the time more fun too!
