If I stink in China....
If you see me in China and I look a little rough around the edges and smell a little funny please don't think any less of me. My child will be looking fabulous because she has an entire suitcase full of stuff and there is no room for anything of mine! I did a little trial run of packing last night. This is JUST baby stuff. I'm going to have to down size...a lot!!!

Ok, clearly that suitcase is much too small. There's no way you could be expected to fit everything in that puny little case. Forget the downsizing girl, you need to go suitcase shopping! ;-)
We started the packing today, too. All of Emma's stuff is going in one big one, all of ours in one big one (we're trying to travel light), plus a carry-on for miscellaneous extra stuff. We'll see how it goes...
I agree with Mary-Mia, that suitcase just won't do! Go get the biggest suitcase you can take along with the biggest carry-on. You won't believe what you can fit into a 14x9x21 carry-on...just check my blog!
This is just a reminder of the nightmare I get to endure when it is my time... At least you will be a "seasoned" traveler and I will be counting on your help EVERY. STEP. OF. THE. WAY.... Lucky you!!

totally agree with the comments above. its a good thing you did the trial run - now you know you have to get a bigger bag! think of it as an investment since you can use it on future vacation travels with eliza... happy shopping!
Most of the stuff we brought we didn't use!!!! What we didn't have we bought at Walmart. Really. Don't sweat the packing. Looking back I spent way too much angst over the packing. We brought 3 outfits each for ourselves. Pretty bad. Just don't forget your deodorant and toothbrush. Oh! Don't forget the Imodium, either. You'll need it!!! Can't wait to read more updates!!! You are doing great to already have her stuff all organized and packed. I started Abbey's last night and I am having her suitcase be my carryon and mine get checked. Is someone going with you to help you carry things, take pictures, etc?
The though of trying to decide (and I still have time!) what to bring for Hannah freaks me out. Yup - you might need a bigger suitcase. :)
