We had our first snow today. It looked so cold outside, so Eliza was tortured and had to wear her pink bear suit. I think this might have to be the last time she wears it. The girl was roasting hot in the car. Speaking of the car...oh my! She hates her car seat with a burning passion. Auntie Lexy was sitting back there with her trying to entertain, console, anything it took, but there was no cooperation on Eliza's part. She cried and cried until she made herself fall asleep to get away from the whole experience. I guess we will not be taking any road trips in the near future!
Have I mentioned that Eliza thinks anything besides a bottle is poison? You should see her face. She scrunches it up and sticks her tongue out so the food can't go in. That doesn't stop me from trying. On Sat. night I went to dinner at my friend Marque's house. She made the yummiest potato soup. As usual I gave Eliza a taste. Much to my astonishment she LOVED it!!! I felt like doing cartwheels. Marque sent us home with a container and the recipe. We have been eating potato soup for breakfast lunch and dinner. I've started adding baby squash and baby peas to it (pretty sneaky!!!). Eliza eats it up!

Oh, that teething is fun, isn't it? But hopefully Eliza will get through it soon and have 20 beautiful little teeth!
She looks so cute in the dreaded snowsuit.
What a too-cute potato soup girl!
LOVE the snowsuit and the dress. Take it from an experienced (China) Mmm x2--keep putting her in the carz(seat), she'll get used to it, she's still confused over whey she's so strapped in....I did it like crazy with my kids including longer trips and they are now seasoned travels who do well with short (2-3h) or long (10-13 hrs) trips.
Congrats.....she is beautiful! :)
Hi . . .wanted to let you know that our Abby doesn't cry either when she is awake in her crib. I can always tell when she's been awake for a while as her eyes are wide open and she doesn't look sleepy. Once I figured out her schedule, I watch the clock and go check on her when I think it's her usual time to wake up. She DOES cry when she's sick or upset though!
Eliza is beautiful and we've enjoyed following your story!

Posting anon because what I am going to say is scathing. All children are precious, born in or under your heart. Eliza really is cuter. Sorry, had to say it :)
Keep at the car seat. Don't worry, with time she will figure out youre there for her all the time no matter what.
Tiffany,
Surely you gest about not using the pink suit. I wouldn't care if she had sweat rolling off her head, she must wear the suit. The suit must be worn. She is just too cute for school in the suit. Keep her in the suit,
Marji
I can no longer even get my eldest to wear a coat, use your size and overwhelming power while you still have it, make her wear the suit
Surely you jest with a j and my name's not Shirley.
Marji
I swear, I had to get back on line when I realized I had misspelled jest, and yes, my clock's wound a little too tightly, thank you very much.
Don't worry, she'll get used to the car seat. Our Sarah cried the first few times, I just kept giving her toys to play with and it got her mind off the fact she couldn't really move much. Now, she's 2 and if I don't buckle her fast enough, she's the first to say, "buckle, Mama, buckle!" Eliza is too cute, congrats!
Another Utah Mommy,
Robin
