We're finally home. That was the longest trip ever! Eliza was amazing. I was dreading the trip home and it went like a breeze! She slept almost the entire way from Guangzhou to LAX. When Eliza wasn't sleeping she was gooing and smiling. I think I may have heard a whimper or two out of her the entire 13 hours of the flight. We spent the night in LA. I really can't call it sleeping. I guess we napped for a couple of hours in LA due to jet lag. By 2 am we were up and showering. We took the first flight out of LA. When we got off the hotel shuttle I was shocked to see my good friends Mark and Darlene running towards me! They wanted to surprise me, so they arrived at 5:15 am so they wouldn't miss me. I was definitely surprised!!! It was so fun to see them and let them meet Eliza. I am a lucky girl!
We arrived in SLC on Thanksgiving (This was the best Thanksgiving ever!). There was a large group of friends and family waiting for us as we came off of the escalator. I was choking back the tears! I can't thank everyone enough for their love and support! At this point Eliza was beat and starting to have a melt down. It was bed time, but only 10:30 am. Poor baby!
We came home and Eliza went down for a nap. I tried to stay up for as long as possible, but had to lay down around 2 pm. I knew Eliza would be up and I needed the strength to pull an all nighter. Eliza and I took a 3 hour nap and I made myself stay up until 10 pm. At 2:30 am sleep ended for us. We are both sitting on the living room floor wide awake. Eliza has about a million toys surrounding her and I put in a baby einstein movie. I'm not a big fan of sitting a baby in front of the TV, but I figured baby einstein was better background noise than Jay Leno. So, here we are. At 4:30 am I had Thanksgiving leftovers and Eliza is about ready for another bottle. I'll post pics later. My mom took my camera home with her by accident. It was a wonderful trip and I am so happy to be home. Since Eliza and I are up so early we may go out for some day after Thanksgiving shopping!!!

Tiffany, I'm so glad you're back safe and sound. It must be amazing to watch Eliza asleep in her crib in the adorable nursery you decorated for her.
Can't wait to see some more photos.

Tiffany,
Congratulations on your successful trip home. Eliza traveled as well as my Stepford child Ellie, makes life so much easier doesn't it? And two years ago I arrived home on Thanksgiving day with my love bucket YuYu and yeah, why even bother getting a room in LA, all you do is pay to nap. We all look forward to seeing you again and meeting your small wonder girl. The jet lag does wear off, but this week will seem verrrrry long.

Hi Tiffany,
We've been keeping track of your every move. So glad your coming home was such an easy and happy experience. I'm sure jetlag, especially from that direction, has to be a whopper. Love to see you when you can come by with the little celebrity.
Love, Maureen--et al.
