Holy Moly

No pics tonight. I think Eliza was moving too fast today to actually capture an image. This afternoon we went to the airport to meet up with Joelle and Audrey. Joelle was my secret pal during the beginning of the dreaded wait. It was so fun to finally meet her and her cute Audrey. I forgot my camera, so no pics. Upon our arrival at the airport, Eliza started acting like I gave her an energy drink instead of milk in her bottle. The minute Joelle and Audrey approached us Eliza wanted down and she was gone. She tried her hardest to charm our new friends. She scratched Audrey's face and swatted Joelle's hand away when she tried to give her a good bye hug...what a mild mannered child I have! The good news is I think I lost 22 lbs. today.

After her nap we ventured out to the store. I saw the cool snack trap cup and quickly opened the package and filled a cup with Gerber puffs thinking this would keep Eliza busy. Well, it did keep her busy. She decided to pick the puffs out of the cup one by one and throw them on the store floor. The most shocking part is that I didn't care...she was quiet. We were just creating job security for the store employees, right?

It's interesting trying to discipline a one year old. Who knew? Yesterday she was biting my friend's leather couch. I told her "no" in my stern, I mean business voice. She yelled back at me. Oh people, I'm in trouble. Big trouble!

Love your new banner.

I am so glad you are just so much ahead of me in mommyhood so I can see how you manage the, uh, moments and learn. I have an overwheleming feeling that my kiddo is going to be one who is described as 'spirited' on her referral. I just FEEL it coming ;0)

Heh - I love reading posts like this.

I always used to think, "Oh MY kid will NEVER be 'allowed' to act like that." Yea, right!

Mali's normally SO good these days (especially when we're out). It makes me very thankful that I stuck with it all & kept the behavior expectations consistent.

Keep up the good work =)

Looks like you have a firecracker on your hands. As my mom said to me...enjoy the ride!

I hope she won't learn to swat you - I was in shock when, after a scolding, my 16 month old turned around and SWATTED at me!!! Never a dull moment when you have a toddler in your life...

Funny, funny! Just wondering what the famous "2s" will be like. Maybe she's just practicing so she will have it all down pat by then.

It was great to meet you and Eliza too!! I think Eliza was very well behaved - Audrey does a lot of that too! Hope to get together with you again sometime in the future. I'll send photos once we're back home so you can post one on here.
