I've been having computer troubles for the last little while, but I'm back in business. So much to talk about...
- Eliza is walking everywhere. She watched her little friend Charlee cruising around and decided to stand up and walk...just like that. That was May 27th and she hasn't stopped since. No more crawling around here (that's for babies!).
- The big news is that it is summer vacation for us!!!!! I haven't been this excited for summer vacation ever. It was always exciting as a kid and it was very exciting as a teacher, but as a mommy it takes on a whole new meaning!
- The bad news is that Eliza will be going to daycare in the fall and I had my first nightmare about it last night. I dreamed that I went to pick her up from daycare and her head was shaved and she was wearing her orphanage clothes. I have to keep telling myself that daycare is not the same as an orphanage. Someone please tell me how much their child loves daycare and that it won't be so bad! Yikes! I'm going to be a mess in August.
- We have big plans for the summer. Top on the list is just hanging out and relaxing together. In June we'll take our first ever family summer vacation. The destination this year is Hawaii. I've also signed us up for a mommy & me swim class in July. Let the lazy summer days begin! We don't have a schedule and we're proud of it!

She may love it. You won't like daycare as a single mom. She will def. learn a lot more and progress more quickly watching everyone else. Glenys likes it when she gets there but not in the morning or night before. Maybe it is mommy guilt on me. Don't stress about it and it is absolutely not like orphanage care. Y
ou will not have room to keep all of the cute crafts and color pages she will do, just warning you now.

Wow...a trip to Hawaii! That sounds so heavenly! You're going to have the best summer vacation ever!
P.S. my daughter loved her daycare center and thrived there. I know Eliza will too.
It was so hard for to leave my daughter the first day. I was crying when I left, but she loves it. She has been going for 8 months and she has never cried or didn't want to stay. They are great with her.

I had the same fears about sending Syd to daycare, but she LOVES it and has zoomed ahead in her physical, mental, and verbal development from being around other kids. She LOVES to go to school in the morning.

Take heart- day care has turned out to be wonderful for Miya. At first she HATED it so of course so did I. Gradually she has adjusted and seems to really enjoy it now. She learns a lot there too. I'm sure this will be the best summer of your life!
