The Beast is Back

What did we get...maybe a 6 week break? It's funny, but when Eliza is teething I am always at a loss as to what is causing her extreme crankiness. Teething NEVER crosses my mind. In true 'me' fashion I always assume she's having huge attachment issues. So, I spent the greater part of today assuring myself that we probably needed to go to therapy or something. At least this time around I wasn't afraid that she didn't like me (like in months past). She won't have a thing to do with anyone else. I'm it. Don't try and talk to the girl because she will melt into a puddle of tears.
Anyhow, I decided before counseling, I should feel her gums. What did I find? Very swollen lower gums. You may be asking yourself how many teeth Eliza has. Yes, that's right, she currently has 16 teeth. If you are anything like me you may be wondering what teeth Eliza possibly could be getting? TWO YEAR MOLARS! So, we are currently dealing with teething again. Eliza's two bottom molars are coming in. That's my big announcement for the evening. Apparently kids can get their 2 yr. molars far before the age of 2. I think I'm the one that needs teething tablets (or something a little stronger).

Hmmm- I wonder if that was Miya's problem a few weeks ago? Happily it was short lived cause it really does wear a Mama out!

Well, I'm glad you don't need the therapy LOL

2 year molars will be it for a looonng while. You'll have to celebrate when they're all up. Mali got hers a little early, too.

Hope you (both) feel better soon!

It was fun at the nature trail...we have some great shots of Eliza pushing Beau in the stroller!! Good luck tomorrow:)

Isn't teething fun? We're going through that at my house, too--bedtimes have been terrible! Chloe is going from having 8 teeth to having 12--we have 4 new ones coming in!

I can relate! I also believe Tess is getting her molars. My daycare provider, who granted knows A LOT about children doesn't believe me, but I believe she is. Tess has been terrorizing all! Hang in there!

You crack me up because you are so much like me! I recently worried that Sydney didn't make enough eye contact so I counted the number of times she looked into my eyes one morning. I stopped counting once I reached some ridiculous number and figured her attachment is fine!
