Ma Go

I had to take Beau to the vet this morning. His baby paw has been swollen and he has been limping. I left Eliza at my house with my sister. I called on my way home to see how Eliza was doing. The girl was fine, but she apparently stood by the picture of the two of us hanging on the wall the entire time and said, "Ma go". The poor girl REALLY notices when I am not with her. She used to whine when I left, but after a minute it was out of sight, out of mind. Now she definitely voices her opinion when I leave and the entire time I am gone. I left her with my friend LuAnn the other day (another vet appt). We see LuAnn at least every week and I assumed she would be fine. LuAnn called me after 45 minutes to gently inform me that Eliza was hysterical. Luckily I was on my way back to her house at that point. Poor LuAnn was trying everything imaginable to sooth my girl. No one can do it like Mommy can.

Nothing wrong with being a Mama's girl :)

I second Jenny's comment! Plus it must feel great to know you are IT for her!

It helps to know Miya is not the only one who gets hysterical when Mama is not around. It's still very difficult though. No telling what they are thinking. I just hope I am doing the right things to make her feel safe and reassured I am coming back. I want her to be able to enjoy life without fear of being abandoned.

We are right with you on that one! Maylin won't let me out of her sight. Hang in there. We are hanging with you! At least we know they like us!

The good news is that she is attached to you! It breaks my heart to leave Emily as well...even when she is happy with her cousins or aunts and thinks I am very dispensible! Eliza is so cute!
