TGIF

Daycare day 5 went better than expected. Eliza has been running a low fever for the last day or two due to her MMR shots 10 days ago. Perfect timing...the first week of daycare. Anyhow, I gave her some Motrin this morning and that seemed to do the trick, so off to school we went. I chose to have her try and nap at daycare today because I had a mandatory mtg. from 10-2. I figured a short day with a nap might work. She cried as I handed her to her teacher, but she reached out to her teacher as she was crying as if to say, "let's just get this over with". I called an hour later and they said she settled right down and was having a great day. I told them to give her another dose of Motrin around noon if she seemed to need it and they did. I can't believe it, but she actually napped for an hour. She usually naps for a good 2 hours, so I am dealing with a crabby girl, but it's all par for the course I suppose. Monday will be Eliza's first full day with a nap included. Hopefully we're not at square one again on Monday.

Tiffany - I am just giving you a heads up...but Maylin started a fever Tuesday night and then by Wednesday morning she was throwing up and had the runs. The fever ended today. My neighbors baby has the same thing. Just wanted to let you know that is going around, just in case it is not the shots. Glad the day went so well! Awesome.

Thank goodness for daily improvements! She's gonna be a pro at this in no time! And think of all the friends she is going to make!

Leaving your baby at daycare is the pits. But I can honostly say it gets better. I've had to do it twice now, first with Alexis at only 12 weeks old and then Miya. All in all I think it's good for them. They really learn a lot and maybe being away from Mommy makes them appreciate us more!
