I Love You
I picked Eliza up almost an hour later than I usually do today. She was extremely excited to see me and one of her teachers told me she had been saying, "Mommy coming!". Poor kid. She really, really missed me and knew I was late. Upon my arrival she jumped into my arms, gave me a big hug and patted my cheeks with her cute baby hands. We grabbed her lunch bag and got in the car. As we started to drive away I heard her say, "I love mommy" I wasn't sure what she said so I asked her to repeat herself, "I love mommy". Oh, melt my heart. I could have cried right there in the parking lot. This was the first unsolicited "I love you" I have received. Just when I think I couldn't love her any more than I already do...I love you too, sweet baby girl.

I just love those unexpected "melt my heart" things my kids say too.
Eliza is such a precious little girl, who definitely LOVES her mommy.
So sweet!!! How great she is able to communicate what she wants and feels!!!
Oh, that is so very sweet! Lucky Mama!
I ask...what in this life, could possibly be better than that?
Awe, that's too sweet.
I love your new header!
SO SWEET...
It's one of those moments you'll never forget! It rates up there with the first time she calls u 'Momma', etc.
I certainly find myself crying more now that I'm a Mom . . . happy tears, of course.
That is the BEST! Nothing is more priceless then I Love you from someone so special. Speaks volumes towards you. You are giving her what she needs. She is SO DANG cute!!!! You certainly hit the jackpot.
That brings tears to my eyes, so sweet!!! I can't wait til my little one starts saying things like that!!

Oooohhhh!
That is so sweet!!!
Goosebumps, head to toe. I live through you I swear, and can't wait to hear those words myself.
There's nothing like hearing that, is there?
You are VERY lucky!! It sounds like a two-way love affair. Em loves us but she doesn't greet us like that. When I pick her up from the sitter's she runs away:(
What a way to end the day! Those three little words have such great meaning! PRICELESS!
p.s. love the new look to your blog. Did you do it?
Awwwww! I read somewhere that a mom who had adopted celebrated Mother's Day as the first day her daughter called her "Mama." Thought that was the most beautiful thing ever (but of course forgot to take note of the date with my girls). Maybe Jan 24 could be your own personal Mother's Day celebration every year.
ohh, that melted MY heart, so I can only imagine what it did to you! how is it possible to keep loving these little sweethearts even more?! i ask myself that question all the time! and by the way, it's not the least bit hard to see why eliza would love her mommy so much! honestly!
Oh wow! what a memorable day for you! Eliza is such a sweetie and her saying those 3 precious words to you is priceless! I got goosebumps reading what you had written! Happy, happy mommy!
Awww, how sweet. Isn't that the best?? Sarah's newest one is to come over and hug me and say, "I sure do love you, Mommy!" Man, it's like rip my heart out, what a feeling, when THEY show their love for us.

I have to say- I would have been crying....such a sweet moment.
