If Eliza Aint Happy....

Me, oh my! I had to speak at church tonight so I arranged for my friend Heidi to come over and watch Eliza. We see Heidi at least twice a week. Eliza LOVES Heidi. Heidi came for dinner. We all hung out for a while and then I got ready, gave Eliza a kiss and told her I'd be back. Holy crap. A demon-possessed 2 year old threw her body to the floor. Then, she stood at the door to "wave goodbye" and practically beat the door down. I couldn't help but laugh a little. She really gave it her best effort. Poor Heidi. It took Eliza a while to come around, but by the time I got home she was happily playing. I used to feel really guilty when she cried for me. Not tonight. This was not separation anxiety. This was a 2-year old protest to mommy leaving. Holy Moly. It was like a bad episode of Super Nanny.

It's all about knowing when to laugh & knowing when to cry =)

It's nice to hear that Eliza does this too and it's not just me with the demon-possessed child. Hugs to both of you.

Sometimes you have a way of saying something that just cracks me up. The super nanny thing. Used to watch that religiously, so I am so getting you on this one!

Congrats! You didn't give in to the guilt-inducing tantrum. True Mom:)
