One weekend, about a month ago I put undies on Eliza. She peed about 3 times. I put a diaper on her and decided I would try again later. For the past week she has been asking to poop on the potty and doing so exclusively. A few days ago I put undies on her and she peed in them 3 times so I put a diaper on her and figured we'd potty train in March during spring break when I could stay home the entire day for a week. Then, Saturday night I guess it just clicked. Yesterday morning she woke up wet, but not as wet as usual, and asked to go potty. After she went I put a diaper on her. About an hour later she asked to go again and her diaper was dry. At that point I didn't put the diaper back on. She woke up dry from her nap too. I definitely don't have a secret. I haven't used treats or anything. Eliza LOVES to flush the toilet, so I just started telling her if she peed on the potty she could flush it down the toilet. Once she got it, she got it. We did have one accident today, but that's to be expected. On the whole she's doing really well. I didn't read any books or do any special program. I just did underwear and stuck around the house all day Sunday. In a nutshell, Eliza makes me look good!
I bought her cute, tiny undies here and here. I tend to have expensive taste without the $ to go with it, so I've been collecting underwear as I've seen them on sale. I need to take a pic of her in her undies...her buns are pinchably cute!

Wow, Eliza! You ARE a grown up little lady now, aren't you!? I, on the other hand, prefer the best of both worlds, undies OVER my diaper! Maybe I will give the potty a go once again, since I am a wee bit older than you! Love, Libby Mei
Good for Eliza and good for a mommy who paid attention! Your baby is growing up. I'm looking forward to seeing the undies on the buns :)
Go Eliza! My 2 year old could care less about potty training... I'm hoping this will change soon, since he needs to be trained for his 3 year old playgroup!
Way to go! You should check out Tlabot's undies - PRETTY!
BTW - this is NOT lisa
This Maisie entertainment moment with Li Li - so Guess who is leaving this comment ;D
Ladybug hugs,
?
That is wonderful. It reinforces that when the child is ready they will potty train practically by themselves. Glenys is still wet at night but not nap nor during the day. I get her the nighttime pullups and that is it. Maybe later I will get the training undies that won't leak but will be wet so she can learn to stay dry at night.

Wow, you go Eliza!! What a big girl she is getting to be!

YAY for Eliza! What a great feeling it is, I remember it well! We just need to get Tabby doing her own blog, I want to see it! So I asked my husband last night how much his girls get for their teeth (because I know that will definitely come up if it's different than what Brielle got) and much to my cheap-minded dismay, he rolled his eyes and said that they get $5.00 per tooth at their mom's, so that's what she got. I think it's too much! I mean, come on that's $100 per kid!! JEEPERS. Oh well.
Hope you have a wonderful day, it's great to hear from you!
Thanks for the scoop! It sounds like Eliza was truly ready. I'm glad it was so easy for you!!
Good going Eliza, I can't believe you are such a big girl already :)
Wow Eliza! You go girl:) Your Mommy is so proud!
P.S. Got the tights on ebay, they are actually leggings called baby leggs :)
I'm tagging you for something I think is called a meme. Please go to my blog for details. I hope you don't mind, it's my first time and I don't know the general feelings on these things.
She does make you look good...but then you are good:) Here's hoping Em's will go as smooth. See you later:)
Woot to Eliza - that is great!
Oh, how I look forward to some tiny undies and pinchably cute buns around this place.
All the best.
Way to go Eliza...no do you think your mommy would send you to our house for a few weeks and some of your talents can rub off on Ava?
Good job, Eliza! She is really getting to be a big girl. It will be nice when you don't have to deal with diapers at all anymore.
Donna :)
Yay! I am planning on this summer unless she figures it out herself before then. I was going to try Christmas Break but then the stomach flu took over. I am so glad it was painless for you all!
