Happy 4th!

It's a family tradition that we go to the parade every year and then a fireworks show. It dawned on me this week that I have always hated the parade. I decided that I wouldn't go this year (plus I didn't think we could make it through the end of the show tonight if we got up early for the parade). I guess I will be starting our own family tradition. We got up had breakfast and then went to a local water park for an hour before lunch and nap time. Much better than a hot parade! Eliza is napping. When she wakes up we will go to my mom's house for a BBQ and then the entire family will go to the Stadium of Fire. I'm sure there will be many, many screaming Miley Cyrus fans this year. I know my mother will be cheering for Glenn Beck. Me? I'm just going to see the fireworks!
I just took a pic of Eliza and Beau napping. How can I love a girl and a dog so darn much? I went outside to look at my garden and I came back inside to find my two loves napping. Nothing sweeter than a girl and her dog!

I loved the napping picture. Looking at them asleep reminds me of the incredible miracle they are in our lives. We opted out of the parade as well...it felt like playing hooky but it also felt great! Happy belated July 4th!

Sariah would be jealous, she wanted to see Miley. I hate parades too. too many people and it is so hot! I hope you had a great weekend!
