Attention Migraine sufferers
Are there any migraine sufferers out there? I have had migraines for years. Imatrex works, but only sometimes. Has anyone else found something that works better. I have a monster headache today. I'm headed to the Dr. to see if I can come up with some sort of relief. Headaches STINK!!!!

I feel your pain, I've got them too! In fact just before I clicked on your blog I faxed my whole headache log over to my doctor in one more (probably vain) attempt to try to solve this. It's horrible!!!!!!
Believe it or not I have heard that Excedrin Migraine with a Coke works just as good as most prescription medicine. That's what I use. Good luck. I have one today too.

I've had migraines since childhood. I've just recently been able to get my them under control with a good chiropractor. He helped me find the cause of the migraines & not just treat the pain. Made a big difference.
Every person is different, but for the pain - caffeine helps me significantly. I take Fiorinol (Rx - contains caffeine) but I rarely need it these days. I've also used excedrin (has caffiene in it), regular ole aspirin, coffee, & water pills (found in the diet aisle - they reduce water-swelling in your body which sometimes can be causing your pain).
Just be careful, sometimes caffeine can have the opposite effect on people & make the pain worse. Caffeine itself is a diuretic, so my migraines were probably related to swelling.
Hope u find something that works for you. It took me many years of experimentation to figure this all out.
Sorry to hear about your migraine!!! I hear laying on the beach in Hawaii in a string bikini would help!!!

I am so sorry you are suffering. I've had migraines the past ten years. I get one or two days a month, at a certain time of the month. I take vicoden and phenegran (nausea). I try Maxalt sometimes too. I also want to try some of the new meds that are out there. If you find anything great let me know. It's hard to imagine entertaining a baby with one of those going on.

Don't know if you're still looking for a headache remedy, but Zomig works for me. 5mg not 2.5mg! Imitrex didn't do anything for me, but Zomig works great!
