Mother's Day

So, I was thinking yesterday...When Mother's day rolled around last year I thought, hmmm, next year at this time I will have a baby. Well, it is almost Mother's day and I, of course, will not have a baby in my arms next week. I really think my baby has been born at this point. I don't have her in my arms yet, but I will (hopefully sooner than later). So, even though I won't have my baby on Mother's day this year, I am still a mother to a beautiful, amazing baby that I haven't met yet. It's such a weird concept that I can hardly wrap my brain around. Happy early Mother's day to everyone waiting!

It's nice to read things and feel like you know exactly what the other person is feeling! Every Mother's Day I have those thoughts of wow, next Mother's Day, I might have my baby here, or I'm a mother-in-training, etc. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

You are certainly a mother! With your LID, Eliza is surely there waiting for you! Or actually she is waiting for those wonderful folks at you know where to speed up and bring you together! Celebrate the day fully knowing there is a darling baby just right for your arms, just waiting out her time, becoming who she is supposed to be.

I agree with the previous commentors - you are a mother, you are pregnant, you should celebrate Mother's Day this year.

Hopefully we'll start to see referrals roll in covering full months of LIDs. You've waited long enough.
