The sound machine is a little piece of heaven. It sounds like a fan, but without the air blowing around the room. This is great at blocking both outside and inside noise.
I heart Bobux shoes. I wish they made them in my size. Eliza wore the tan ones with wool lining every day in China and almost every day since we've been home. They are so soft! These little mary janes are so stinkin' cute I can't stand it. She looks so cute in both of them!
I did so much research on carriers before I left for China. This sachi mei tai carrier has been used every single day since Eliza was placed in my arms. We use it when we go to any store. It's so nice because it allows my hands to be free. It's comfortable and Eliza loves it. I just ordered another mei tai. I can't wait for it to get here.
Eliza loves her farm animal fridge magnet set from Leap Frog. She seems pleasantly surprised every time she crawls into the kitchen and finds it!
The latest discovery is this nifty medicine bottle cap. You put the syringe in the top and then tip the bottle upside down and suck the meds into the syringe. Who knew?!
Last, but definitely not least, Signing Time. Eliza loves these DVDs almost as much as she loves me! Shhh, don't tell, but she is getting the next 3 DVDs for her birthday next month!

Thanks for sharing! I love the colour of the high chair and style. Would you mind sharing who makes it and if you know the name of the design?
Thanks for all the helpful tips!
I have the Leap Frog fridge gig. I like playing with it myself ;0)
Great list - thanks T!
Do you have link for that medicine bottle thing? It looks like just the ticket.

Great list and tips Keep em coming! I also finally got to see the first meeting video (computer woes) It was awesome! It is just amazing to me how much she has thrived and changed in her enviroment. Good job Mom!
Good to know what works best and what the babies like. Thanks!
You have some great things listed! I am going to look for the medicine bottle top and the fridge toy. I have a question about your mei tai, I know you said you and Eliza both love it, but it looks so uncomfortable for the baby to me, can you tie it so that the babies arms can be free? I want something comfortable for Vietnam for both me and the baby and the hip sling is horrible! Any advice you can give would be helpful
Thanks,
Tracy

I remember I had talked myself into the idea that Emma didn't need a highchair and I was just going to get a booster. Yeah, right! You definitely need the highchair...no doubt about it. Love yours!
A list of "favorite things" from a mom is always very helpful to other moms!! Great list!!
The funny thing is, when I read this post, my kids were watching the exact part of Sound of Music where she sings "My Favorite Things", seriously!!!

Ah yes, the magnetic fridge animal set. "You put a pig in front, you put a duck behind. Put them together, and what do you find?? A PIG DUCK? (giggle giggle giggle) THAT'S SILLY!"
Wow... lots of cool kid stuff out there that I didn't know about, I'm going to have to bookmark this page for the future! Eliza is adorable, and I agree, she's growing up so fast!

Love your list of favorite gear. I laughed outloud when you mentioned that you wished Bobux shoes come in your size... I don't know how many times I've thought the same thing.
