15 months!
- Eliza weighs 20 lbs. 11 oz. and is 30.75 inches long. I guessed that she would be 21 lbs. and 30 inches. I was a little off. Who won? I'll have to go back and look.
- As of today she has officially moved up to a size 4 diaper. She is wearing 12-18 months clothing and approximately a size 4 shoe.
- Eliza has 15 teeth and one more about to cut through at any moment (yes, that's 2, almost 3 more than last month!)
- Eliza has started stripping in the morning. She starts with her socks, then her shirt and last her p.j. bottoms. She then tries to help me out with my p.j.s...No thanks baby!!!
- Eliza can say bubble as clear as day and in a very urgent way! The girl loves bubbles!
- She is starting to become more confident about walking. She will now initiate walking between me and the couch.
- She loves to give me and Beau love pats. It's so cute!
- She loves the water. She always has, but I was afraid she might not like the baby pool because it's a tad bit cold. She doesn't care. She crawls right on in. She thinks it's pretty neat that she can get in and out over and over again all by herself.
- When the wind is blowing (or the air conditioner) she sticks out her tongue so she can feel the air. I laugh every time she does it and join in. You should try it too...it's a nice way to experience your environment!
- She loves the book Kisses for Mommy. There is a page in the book where a baby is eating and has some food on her bib. Eliza always looks at it and makes the gutteral "yucky" sound.
- Eliza doesn't really like baby dolls (much to my dismay), but seems to have an affection for monkeys. Any time she sees one she starts saying "ooh, ooh, ahh, ahh, ahh" in true monkey fashion.
- Eliza continues to throw tantrums when she can't have something she wants like the remote, phone, and any electronic device.
- We've been watching the alphabet episode of Signing Time (my all-time personal favorite so far) over and over again. She can say "j" as clear as day as she signs it.
- Beau and Eliza continue to have a love affair going on. Eliza gives him love pats (sometimes a little too rough) and he tolerates her because he knows she is where his next meal is coming from (she loves to feed him from her highchair).
- Eliza has been getting up between 5:30 and 6:00 am (or earlier) for the day. Why, oh why (teething I suspect)? While we were in bed at this very early hour I dozed off (imagine that). I woke up to Eliza feeding me her bottle with a huge grin on her face.
- I've started putting 3 books at the end of her bed when I go in to cover her up before I go to bed. This has been my saving grace. I can sleep for an extra 1/2 hour and I wake up to her making monkey noises as she looks at her books.
- Eliza has started pretending. She will be playing with her toys and throw her head back and do a fake little laugh.
- This kid is the light of my life. Every month seems like my favorite age!

what a fun update Tiff! you do a great job with these! And you were really close with your guess!
Jme
Have you seen the children's book titled "Hug"? It's got a gorilla in it and she may like it if she's got an affinity for monkeys. My nieces like it quite a bit...
The alphabet episode of Signing Time is also one of my favorites. I love the music in it. Unfortunately we have a scratch in our DVD and it stops at "R". So if Emma only ends up knowing 75% of the alphabet, that might be why.
Eliza is such a good girl!! Big girl too. At Maisie's 18 month exam she was 10 oz. less and 1/4" shorter than Eliza is now!
Good for Ms. Cutie! It sounds like she's growing and changing so quickly.
She is so delightful! We can see why you love her.
Ummm, hi! I guessed EXACTLY right on the weight. For my prize you and Eliza have to come visit Minneapolis - right? Okay, that's what I win, right?
I'll have to remember the book trick.
I LOVE the photo of her you used on your home page. I smile every time. We're adopting a little boy just her age and size, I think I'd better get some 12-18 month clothes (I was buying 24 mo.) Congratulations on such a happy, healthy little one!
I love reading about all that she is doing. She is a smart little girl, and funny! I am glad to hear they all have tantrums. Anna can pierce my eardrums like no other!
It's fun to read up on Eliza's stats. Guess it's time for me to move Miya up to size 4 diapers since she weighs 24.5 lbs! ha ha She also likes waking up between 5:30-6, hey, somebody forgot to tell the baby you get to sleep in on the week ends!
Fantastic!
Fun to see the updates and watch Eliza grow through the blog. Good luck with the sleeping in thing. It has become a thing of the past for us too!
I love your updates, she will love them too. What a delicious child. Size 4, you must be so proud ;-)
So fun to hear the updates! Also neat to hear how much you enjoy her growth/development. Thanks for posting and keeping us updated. It´s so great to watch her grow up (and to be able to see her in person too)!
