Day 3
I'm sure my daycare posts are getting really boring, but it's what's consuming my every thought right now. A little more progress today. She settled down faster, but cried off and on throughout the day. They told me that she was talking to her friends and played well outside. She didn't eat much of her lunch and was crying when I went to pick her up. They said she had just started crying and I could tell she was way overdue for a nap. I'm very proud of Eliza. While it is still hard and probably will be for a while, she is doing better than I had anticipated. Since I have meetings on Friday, I think I'm going to try having her nap at school then. We'll see how that goes.

I think it sounds like Eliza is doing wonderfully!!! this being her first time and all being in a daycare setting and not associating it with being left behind. You are both doing a fine job. Before you know it, Eliza will be running in the door and leaving you behind for her friends.. trust me, I've btdt. that is a sad moment for mom as well.. happy but sad :0)
Slow but sure is the way to go. She will learn that she will be okay in school and that you will return. I sometimes think it is harder on the mama than the baby because of the added guilt we live in.

I am loving your daycare posts as I am about to leave my girl at our church school. It helps me to know how rough it will be at first, but I can look for the light at the end of the tunnel.

Glad it was a better day! WOOT WOOT! Hang in there.
It's good to hear that Eliza is starting to settle in.
I am so happy to hear she is doing better. I just started my little sweetie also from Inner Mongolia in daycare once per week and it has been harder on me than her.
Every day...a bit better. Love that news.
slow but sure. you are doing well, mom. I don't think the posts are boring at all, I want every single day documented!
Don't feel like you have to apologize! Day care is a BIG DEAL!!! You are BOTH doing really well with this adjustment...be proud!
Sounds like each day gets a little better! Hang in there!
No one can understand how hard it is to leave a baby unles you have done it. I think you are being strong for Eliza. It will for sure feel better soon. I looked at the dr stats for height and weight. Luke and Eliza are the exact same size! She is so cute!
Hang in there...it will get easier!
Hang in there!
