It's been a while since I've sat on Santa's lap! He said I've been a good girl and will get everything I want!!! As you can see, Eliza wasn't that impressed!!!
Again, I must ask myself where the time has gone? My sweet baby is almost 2!!!
- She now sings the ABC song, Eensy Weensy Spider, Signing Time theme song and a few others.
- She can count to 13
- Miss Eliza is talking, talking, talking. She can say anything and everything. You can pretty much carry on a conversation with her!
- She has colors down pretty well. She can identify orange, yellow, green and blue, and purple and does so where ever we go! She got a purple balloon at the grocery store today and was thrilled!
- She is constantly telling Beau to, "WATCH" her latest stunt! Beau doesn't ever seem that interested for some reason, but he does watch.
- Eliza tells me to, "try it" all the time. Nothing like a little peer pressure. I always give in and try whatever it is that she wants me to try. In the middle of the night she woke up and told me, "pick". "Pick what?" I said. "Nose. Try it!" was her response. I guess she wanted me to give wiping her nose a try...no one likes boogies on their face (even if it is the middle of the night)!!!!
- She told me to "move" the other day when I was in her way. Yes ma'am!
- Beau and Eliza continue to be in love. I always said Beau was a one woman kind of man, but now it is clear I was wrong. He loves Eliza and me equally...in fact, I may have even taken a back seat. If Eliza is sitting on the couch he curls up beside her. If she is sleeping he is snugged in right by her. He gets so excited when he hears her wake up from a nap. In the morning Eliza says, "Hi mommy!" then "Beau kissin' (which means kiss me Beau)" then "Mommy kissin'".
- While sitting in her car seat the other day she announced, "Mama. Santa bring presents!". Why yes, baby, he sure does!!!
- In the grocery store today Eliza said, "Darn it!". Luckily that's the worst she's picking up from me! One must be VERY careful around here!!!
- Eliza hasn't used her crib in a month or so. I'm sure there is dust in there! She is sleeping in my bed full-time at night and for naps.
- My baby is turning into a kid right before my very eyes! There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not absolutely amazed at something she says or does.

I love reading the updates! I know she'll love them too when she's older and gets to read how well her mom has journaled her milestones.
I must do the baby Li journal update - it's been months. It will be easier once she's here and the updates are not all "the wait has been hard"
