Food Poisoning with a Silver Lining

Oh my, I haven't been that sick since I don't know when. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat sesame beef again. I started feeling sick yesterday evening. I was at a friend's house and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it home. I finally got the energy to load my group in the car and head home. As I was approaching my house I did something I don't normally do, I called for help. Heidi met me at my house and I ran inside and threw myself on the bed. She was kind enough to play with Eliza, get her ready for bed and then put her there. It was a lovely night of puking and moaning and groaning because of stomach pain for me. I had an IEP mtg. this morning that I couldn't miss, so off to work I went. I came home feeling really crappy. This is where the silver lining part comes in...my sister is throwing a wedding shower for my soon-to-be sister-in-law tonight. I, unfortunately, wasn't feeling up to going, but Lexy graciously took Eliza along for the festivities. I think this is the first night in 1.5 years that I have been left at home to relax without my darling girl. They left around 2:30 this afternoon and they won't be back until later tonight. Eliza was happy to go and I was happy to take a nice long nap, sit on the couch and get caught up with T.V., go on a walk with Beau, go to the store and buy flowers for the garden and not have to race in and out. It has been pure bliss and I'm feeling much, much better and energized!

It is sad when food poisoning feels like a vacation, Tiffany! ;) Hope things look up soon... hang on, summer is coming!
