We wish you a Merry Christmas

I decided less was more this year. Not only did a little tree seem easier, but there is some meaning behind it as well. I had been thinking about getting an ornament that some how summed up the adoption journey/waiting/dreaming of Eliza. That's quite a tall order for an ornament and, needless to say, I haven't been able to find just the right one. Instead of an ornament I decided to use a potted tree for my Christmas tree this year. In the spring I will plant the tree and someday be able to tell Eliza that this is the tree that I had while I was waiting for her. A little corny...but somehow fitting.

Tiffany-
What a great idea!!! A living and growing reminder of your journey to Eliza...As for an ornament, I saw some cute ones in the China Sprout catalog. Check it out.

Not corny at all - I love the idea! & it's environmentally friendly, too.

Glad to see Beau is back (in all his beauty) posing, I missed seeing him lately.

Tiffany that is the best idea I've heard yet! (And I'm not just saying that because I'm dosed up on cold medicine. Ha ha.) Eliza will love hearing the story of her tree one day.

(Hi to Beau!)

Hi Tiffany!

I think this is a lovely and sentimental idea! I agree with Mary-Mia... what a great story this will one day make! Plus I think Beau looks really cute next to the tree!

As for the ornament idea... we are doing the same thing. I think I am going to pick up one of the ornaments at the mall kiosk that you can have them personalize. It will say something like "Waiting for Gracie 2005"... something realy orignal like that! LOL
