Welcome to Motherhood
Ah, the worry. I changed Eliza tonight and noticed a bit of blood in her diaper. I'm not a Dr., but blood in the urine just doesn't seem normal. I called the on-call pediatrician and she didn't seem overly concerned. I, on the other hand, am overly concerned. I'm supposed to take her in if it gets worse. Anyone want to place a bet that (better or worse) I'll be making a trip to the pediatrician tomorrow? On top of it my poor baby woke up with a nasty cold. Her little nose is all snotty, making it hard to breathe, therefore making it hard to suck on her thumb, therefore making it hard to sleep...you get the picture. I'm afraid it's going to be a long weekend. Have I mentioned she's teething? No pics tonight...I'll spare everyone the boogers!

I'm sorry you saw blood in Eliza's urine on a Friday night! Hopefully it's nothing (I called the on-call doctor one Saturday because Amelia's bowel movement was white). He was like your doctor, not very concerned, but I was totally freaked out. It never happened again. I have no idea what caused it, but it was weird. So hopefully Eliza's blood is just a freak occurance. Do you think she could be getting a urinary tract infection?
As for the snotty nose, have you tried saline spray? I love that stuff, it really does help, but Amelia HATES it. She is just now getting better after having a cough and runny nose since Christmas.
Good luck and I hope you both get some sleep tonight.

poor eliza. I hope you have some support at the ped appt today. Sometimes babies get small bladder infections or kidney infections, some good antibiotics work.
Rest up, and let us know how it goes. Saying a prayer for little Eliza.
Yikes! I'd be freaked out too. Sending you good thoughts and hoping the blood was a one-time occurrence.
Feeling for you on the snotty nose thing. Have you gotten to the point where you cringe and sprint for the kleenex when you hear her sneeze? Just never know what you're going to find... ;-)
Feel better Eliza, and hope the weekend is smooth sailing T!
Hope you and Eliza are feeling better very soon!
