Christmas Shopping Anyone?

Has anyone started their Christmas shopping? It's a bit early, but I can't help myself. Eliza doesn't really care for dolls, but her mother does! I'm still hopeful that one day she'll come around. It's just not as fun for me to buy stuffed animals.

I like this doll because it reminds me of Eliza. Maybe this will be my gift under the tree this year?
(click on doll picture for more info.)
And a few other things I'm considering. We'll see what Santa brings.

And this, Santa has stored in our garage, waiting for the big day (he got a really, really good deal thanks to Tabby)!
I'm left asking myself why I'm even considering adding more toys to this house. We need more toys like I need a big kick in the pants. Eliza's going to LOVE Christmas this year and I can't help but get caught up in it myself. She is constantly singing me "Happy Birthday", telling me to make a wish, blow out the candles and open a pretend present. When I asked her what Santa brings, she told me, "Happy Birthday presents!" and jumped up and down with glee. It makes me want to fill the living room with presents. I must keep chanting, "I will not overindulge my child" to myself.

Looks like some great choices! I bought that same doll for Ava this summer when we met up with some adoption friends in Ottawa...all the girls got the same doll...Ava had hers NAKED before we were out of the store...she likes all of her dolls with no clothes on?

What kind of doll is that and where do I find it? I think Gracie would love it.

BTW, the FP camera doesn't take good pictures. We have one and I'm looking for another option for this year.

Go ahead and overindulge, she is only young once. Glad to hear I am not the only one thinking about Christmas already.

I haven't started shopping yet, but Mali would LOVE that guitar & keyboard set. I wish I had the room for larger toys . . . M & Eliza have so much in common, even with the dolls. Mali tosses them out & asks me to get rid of them =)

Speaking of overindulging, I just bought her a nintendo DS for her birthday later this month. It's the only thing she wanted, & she's old enough now to know & to tell me. & she had her mind set. She completely obsesses over her cousin's DS systems, so at least I'll know she'll enjoy it.

Chanting right along with you . . .

Hey...you are a girl after my own heart. I have my shoppingdone by Halloween. I have got to say you have some great things picked out. Since I haven't thought about it yet, you have given me some great ideas. Do you have concord grapes too? Are the grapes ready yet?

I love that doll. Glenys is like Eliza, can take it or leave it preferably leave it. I on the other hand am like you, I love dolls and always have.

"Over indulge?" hmmm, not familiar with the term as it applies to a bright and beautiful little girl who will be thrilled out of her socks by any of those gifts. That Eliza is going to love love love her Christmas.

Oh lordy... you are clearly way ahead of the game. My vote is for any toy that DOES NOT make noise. You will regret that piano/microphone combo thingy. Trust me :)

I've started shopping already as well...which can lead to too many toys sometimes!

Christmas is so special when you share it with your child...it's difficult not to go overboard. I just try to remember that the real joy is spending the holiday with my girl...not all the presents. Easier said than done!

I haven't seen that doll before. Where can I get one?
I already started shopping for Chrismas. We got some neat things while we were in Disney last week.
You can't overindulge. Especially this year. It will be the best year. Eliza understands. Get your camera ready.

Susan

P.S. I agree on the music stand. You will regret it. We got Mia a VTECH camera and that has been good. It is also cheaper than Fisher Price.

Okay, I'm 38 - and I'M EXCITED about those gifts! I loved my "play kitchen" as kid...and I think the doll is adorable :)

Haven't even thought about Christmas and don't think we will be celebrating much here, but Abbey would love to have camera and guitar. I was glad to see Angels comment about the FP camera, let me hear if you find a better one.

Ya know, I've been thinking about Christmas shopping too! I love going out EARLY in the morning the day after Thanksgiving! I love getting a head start and finding good deals. It's my favorite time of the year and I ALWAYS overdo it with my kids! It's so much fun! I like the choices you've made so far for Eliza. Can't you just picture the look on her face Christmas morning when she sees everything!

Wow, I love that kitchen. Where can you get that? Anna loves anything girly. She adores babies the most, though.

So much for the "one or two gifts" idea. I know it must be hard.....I love all those things you posted and would want them all if I were Eliza.

Good seeing you! That girl just warms my heart.....I love playing with her!

Cute prezzies!! Love the doll. Eliza might do an about-face on dolls one day, you never know. R&M were ALL about the stuffed bears -- they went everywhere with them, slept with them, played with them, you name it. And suddenly one day it was like someone flipped a switch and it was "all dolls all the time." That's all they play with now and the discarded bears are still in the toybox they got thrown into.

wow you are so on top of it. My focus right now is trying to get my kids wardrobe winter-ready!
We have a similar keyboard and each of my kids love it!
And that kitchen looks awesome!
