Paint it Black

Now I have that Rolling Stones song in my head! It's a good one. Anyhow, I've been wanting to paint my front and back door for a while and today I finally did it. I painted both doors black and changed the yucky brass door knobs to nickle. I must say it looks good. This was my "way to make a decision" gift to myself. I've decided to pull my house off the market. With the current state of the economy, I'm going to just sit tight and feel grateful I have a place to live for under $700 a month.

OH that looks awesome! I have wanted to paint my whole house since moving in, a nice rich brown with black shutters and a black door :) And man I am JEALOUS of your house payment. I'm at $1200 with my mortgage payment and it's killing me!

Yeah, I'm jealous (very) of that house payment too.

Okay, now that looks super! and now tell me oh great wonder mom, how did you keep little mitts off the paint brushes and rollers while you completed the project, that's what I'm dying to know. And now that you're in the mood and your skills are fresh, I've got some crown molding that could use a few coats of the old high gloss. I'll even watch Eliza if you think that might be an issue.

Looks great! Can you post a pick from the front of the house...would love to see what it looks like.
I'd be staying put also if my mortgage was less than $700

I painted my front door black- I love it! No worries about staying in your house- the right time will come.

I don't blame you one bit for not moving. I am not sure if my house will even sell when its time, I am looking for a renter now.

So you decided to stay, does that mean you'll be planning on adopting again? Soon i hope
