The Perfect Weekend

It has been a lovely, rainy, relaxing weekend. On Friday night I was able to spend time with my mom and my sister celebrating my mom's birthday, while my good friends, Grandma Lu and Grandpa Phil babysat for Eliza. On Saturday we got together with some friends I haven't seen for a while. The kids played at the McDonald's playland while the adults chatted. In addition, it is conference weekend and I really feel like I have been spiritually uplifted. Today, before conference started, I made pumpkin french toast to celebrate fall and the long awaited lower teperatures! It was so yummy! Eliza and I gobbled it up. Later today, after nap time we will head to my mom's house for Sunday dinner. A perfect weekend!

Glad to hear you're having a good weekend. I have to tell you a funny little story next time we chat, remind me. That pumpkin toast looks awesome, I'm going to have to make some. Also, what is Cranberry Horseradish Roast and are you going to post the recipe. I saw that you're making Shepherd’s pie and I make a curried one that I haven't made in ages and I'll bet that fussy Miss Maisie would now like it so I'm going to be making it this week, thanks for reminding me of that recipe. Chat soon.

You are quite the meal planner! I get 1 or 2 good ones in a week with some freezing and feel good about it. I definitely could do better.

Love the black dress & tights!
